Claims and policies in.
Coverage and loss fields out.

A claim often arrives as a packet: a form, a policy schedule, an estimate, invoices, each from a different sender. The fields you define are read from every document and returned to your claims or policy system.

01
Process
How the work changes

Done by hand

  • A handler opens the claim form and its attachments, then types the policy number, the loss date and the amount into the claims system.
  • Coverage is checked by finding the policy schedule and reading its limits, deductible and period against the date of the loss.
  • Certificates of insurance from vendors and brokers are opened one by one to read the coverage, the limits and the expiry date.

With Parser

  • Claim documents arrive by upload, e-mail or API. Each kind has its own template (claim form, schedule, certificate, estimate) and its fields are read from every file.
  • The limits, the deductible and the coverage period come back as fields, so your system can compare the loss date with that period.
  • A rule can hold an estimate's total to the sum of its line items, or check a claimed amount against a limit you set. Fields go to your claims system by webhook or API, or as JSON, Excel or CSV.
